Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital

For well over a century, Brockton Hospital has been providing healthcare to the people of Brockton. In his address at the dedication of Brockton Hospital on March 14, 1896, Judge Warren A. Reed stated, “The hospital is the child of the whole people…The means of building it have drawn from the whole people…Its object is the alleviation of suffering…and shall be dedicated to the spirit of service.”

That same dedication to the “spirit of service” prevails today at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital, one of a shrinking number of Massachusetts hospitals choosing to remain independent; seeking strategic partnerships over ownership by larger Boston-based medical centers or out-of-state for-profit health systems. Retaining our autonomy allows us to be true to our mission of providing care for all patients seeking treatment, regardless of their financial ability or insurance status.
